TURN YOUR COMPUTER
INTO A CALCULATOR
Have you ever noticed the calculator that comes built into the
Windows® environment.
Like me, you probably didn't think very much about it.
But now with a
DIGIT PAD you can turn
your boring little Windows®
calculator into one that functions just a like a real hand held
calculator.

Ok, when you first get your DIGIT PAD, plug it into your USB
port and the software will auto install and in a couple of
minutes you'll be ready to turn your Windows®
calculator into a real tool.
-
Go to the "START" menu
and select "PROGRAMS" then find "ACCESSORIES"
-
Now press on the
"CALCULATOR" icon with your "RIGHT" mouse button and drag it
to your desktop (an empty spot on your computer background)
and select "COPY"
-
You have now created a
quick and easy way to access the Windows calculator.

-
Now double click on the
"CALCULATOR" icon and the calculator will pop up on your
screen
-
Instead of punching in
numbers using your mouse, you will find it much faster to
enter them directly with your new DIGIT PAD
-
The "ENTER" key on your
DIGIT PAD is the "=" key on the calculator
-
The "FORWARD SLASH"
/ is the division key
-
The "ASTERISK" * key on
your DIGIT PAD is the "x" key on the calculator
-
Now you won't have to
fumble around for a calculator the next time you need one in
a hurry.
INDEPENDENT NUMBER LOCK
What is "independent number
lock"? Well, the easiest way to explain it is to first
tell you what "dependent number lock" means. Dependent
number lock is when you plug a 10 key number pad into a laptop
computer and it turns the right side of the laptop's main
keyboard into a virtual "10 key" number pad. This means
that when you press the letter "J" you get the number "5".
Therefore, "independent number lock" means that the 10 key
number pad does not mess up your laptops' keyboard when you plug
it in. If you need a 10 key number pad with independent
number lock, then we recommend the
Digit Pad 2000 which features
that capability.
